~ Got Food? Pantry ~
"Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes or daily food. If one of you say to him, 'Go, I wish you well, keep warm and well fed,' and does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?" (James 2:15–16)
Each month several families come through the Benevolence Ministry Centers in Albertville and Arab. As they come for food, many come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is a much-needed spiritual resource for the poor and downtrodden in our community.

Volunteers are needed to help keep shelves stacked and food rotated, and food donations are always welcomed! For a list of needed items please go to the Resources Web page.
The Got Food? Pantries are registered with AmpleHarvest.org, an organization that connects local gardeners who want to donate
their crops to local food pantries. AmpleHarvest.org's mission is to diminish hunger in America by educating and enabling gardeners to donate their excess harvest to the needy in their community instead of allowing it
to rot in the garden. For more information about the AmpleHarvest.org,
please visit their Web site. |
